Financial Gain Trumps Enjoyment for Barbados Sex Workers
A recent report on sex workers in Barbados noted that more than half of those interviewed came from Guyana and that financial gain was at the top of the list for entering the field of prostitution. Enjoyment of sex was listed last as a motivation to enter the sex trade.
